Christmas in Puerto Rico

We booked a few tours around the Island. One of the tours we did was a kayak tour at night to see the bioluminescent lagoon in Las Croabas, Fajardo. The company we selected for the tour is called Eco Adventures and they were amazing! The cost of the tour per person was about $50 for an hour tour, however, the group we were in enjoyed the tour so much that the tour extended to another hour!

I've never been kayaking before, let alone at night and it was a beautiful experience! Hearing the coquis at night, observing the stars and splashing the water to see the lagoon glow was the highlight of the evening!

We got wet during the tour, so make sure you wear your water shoes and bathing suit underneath your clothes. We didn't have the opportunity to take pictures on this tour, because we didn't want to lose our cellphones and didn't want our devices to get wet, so we left them behind, however, if you have a waterproof GoPro, take it with you. You will be amazed at the pictures you'll be able to shoot.

I absolutely recommend this tour, if you visit Puerto Rico and the staff at Eco Adventures are very professional and knowledgeable about the lagoon and surroundings.

We also went horseback riding near the foothills of El Yunque Rainforest! Another must do, if you plan to go to Puerto Rico. We booked our tour with Hacienda Carabali.

This place is beautiful! Not only can you go horseback riding, you can book to drive an ATV, go a few rounds in a go cart on their track which is also fun! You can even enjoy lunch at their on-site restaurant, which by the way the food is very delicious!

We went to a town called Orocovis where they have one of the longest zipline's in the world! The place is called Toro Verde .

I chickened out, but my oldest daughter did it and loved the experience!

Playa Sucia oquerónwhere not only do you have another beautiful beach nearby, but you're also walking distance many food and bar kiosks to eat and drink.

It was a great Christmas vacation in Puerto Rico. I recommend you visit the Island for some fun in the sun and delicious local food!
