First Visit to Disney's Epcot Center Since COVID
Updated: Jul 27, 2021
It's been a long 2020 and 2021 for me, and I'm sure for many of you as well, yet as each day passes by we push ourselves to regain our lives back to a new normal.
Well, today I took a trip to Disney's Epcot Center for the first time since 2019! I have to say, it was a bit daunting for me at first when I entered the gates to Epcot Center and saw so many people without their masks, including me. It was a good sight of relief to see visitors enjoying their time at the park without a mask on. It felt kind of strange for me not wearing my mask while I was in the park. I felt like I was kind of breaking the rules 😂, however, I wasn't. At all Disney Parks, it's optional to wear a face mask. It's left to your discretion whether you want to wear it or not.
I decided not to wear my face mask while I was out and about and when I was indoors and there was no social distancing, I wore my mask.
My daughter and I had a very good time just walking around and enjoying World Showcase and some of our favorite rides we were able to ride like Soarin', Mission Space and Spaceship Earth Some of these rides, the wait time was less than 15 minutes!!! Which never happens at any of the Disney Parks during high season, especially for the Soarin' ride! We did not ride Test Track because that one was an 85 minute wait.
It was a really hot day that's for sure! I knew it was going to be crazy hot, so I made sure to bring my water and a really cool neck fan gadget that I purchased on Amazon that made my day at Epcot alot more bearable!
I highly recommend you use one of these gadgets if you don't like the heat and sweat alot! The battery lasts a long time. I had that thing on for three hours on and off and it was still running strong when I left the park. I will place the link below so you can take a look at it, if you wish to purchase it with my affiliate link.
